RE: My little Papillon Lucy "fer" is a thief

We had a Border Collie that would steal DH tools when he was outside working on vehicles. Luckily he would catch her before she got very far with them. This too was something that she didn't start until she was older.

RE: Apple Crisp SLOW COOKER recipe

This sounds like an Apple Crisp version to me Apple Breakfast Cobbler. It was under the second Crockett link in another thread. I like the idea of using the cereal for the topping!

Lime-Away

We've had some trouble draining the black tank of our previously owned RV..yesterday after letting it still full of water for about a month, DH drained it again and clumps of soft, calcium stuff came out with the water. We figure that is what has had it clogged up....Am thinking of getting some Lime-Away and putting it in black tank...I've never used this and can look when I get to Wally World later, but thought I'd ask if anyone knows if this is safe for plastic, such as black tanks??? If not, does anyone have any other suggestions. We are going to use the Geo Method, but will have to order the water softner online and have a trip this weekend.
TIA!

Plugged In?

I'm sure this has been hashed over & over, but did a search & didn't find it.
Do you leave your 5th wheel plugged in & fridge on when at home?
Thanks!

RE: Next camping trip

We're going this Thursday for 4 nights...Haven't been since June (too hot in TX in the summer, and DH has had some health issues & doesn't want to venture too far from home)so I'm ready plus we get to see DD,DH & DGD!!! Can't wait!
We'll have to winterize early to mid Nov, but not yet, so we have a couple more trips planned after this weekend. I'm sorry for those of you who have to winterize now.

Teaching Kids About Money

I thought the Credit Union website Money lessons looked helpful for the young and even the young at heart! I was thinking if some parents worked on this with their kids, it might rub off on them too! I'm going to share it with my kids for my GD.

RE: On Oprah Today

Luv To Fish, I watched this too, but missed something Suze said toward the very end about moving $$ from the market that wasn't insured to a Treasury "M M" that was insured..I didn't have anything to write with and it caught me off guard, as I thought they about finished. (I went to Oprah.com, but it wasn't in the text) Do you remember what the "M M" was? PM me if you don't want to post here. Thanks.

RE: Anyone take their Grandkids with you

I'm sorry to hear of your loss for you and the boys. Bless you all as you go thru this time in your lives.
You might try a search for Home school on these forums..I remember seeing a post about it, but don't remember where...I don't know why it couldn't be done while on the road, but I can understand the older GS not being taken to the idea. That is a tough age...Are the boys still the same school, or did they have to move from their friends? You might have to take them on some shorter trips to start with to introduce him to the lifestyle. I also understand your planning on retiring, but then again, he will only be in High School a couple of more years....tough decision...Good luck!

RE: What a waste of "MONEY"

That's the way I feel about the "state" quarters....How much has that cost? It's ridiculous!!! I understand having to issue new bills due to all the counterfeiting schemes, but anything else is a waste of my tax payer dollars!!!

RE: Chicken & Bowtie Pasta

That sounds yummy, but we don't have a Safeway in our area any more. Will have to see where the closest one to me is!
I tried a Tuscan Chicken Lasagna from WalMart last week and it was good, too...Not real healthy, but it was good for a change, plus it was only $5.00 & fed DH & me with some left over for his lunch the next day!

RE: Cleaning Outside window

Glad to know Windex should take care of it...I was afraid it might take something stronger. And yes, will definately have to have a ladder! I had thought about the RainX, too but couldn't remember what it was called. Thanks!

Cleaning Outside window

I finally have my dream window...the large single rear window! I love it, but noticed this week that it has white streaks on it after the rain. Haven't tried to clean it yet, but thought I'd ask for suggestions here first. We do have vinyl roof vs. a rubber roof if that makes any difference.
Thanks!

If you've had experience with the GM diesels, DH would like your opinions/experiences.
(Please don't start a Dodge/Ford/GM bashing;)
TIA for your help!

RE: canned biscuits and cimamommon rolls?

I used to make Cinnamon Twists out of canned biscuits...Hadn't thought of it in a long time. Super easy!
Separate biscuits. Dip each biscuit in melted margarine, & cinnamon/sugar. Slightly stretch each one and twist it. Place in baking dish and bake at 350 (?) until brown.

RE: Dry, itchy skin on my lab

Has anyone ever tried corn oil? Have treated her for fleas and vet said give her Benedryl, too. Think I will look for the fish oil, too.
We don't bathe her much as she is a "country, outside" dog...Usually before a trip, but may have to more frequently. Have some Hydrocortizone shampoo that we use.
